Hardrath, Ethel (Marriage - 1951)
The Rev. T. J. Pagels officiated during the service at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon in the St. John’s Lutheran Church at Riplinger which united in marriage Miss Ethel Hardrath, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hardrath of Unity, and Ervin Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Schultz of Colby, Wis.
The bride’s dress was of white satin with lace bodice and peplum and full gathered skirt. She wore a beaded headdress with a finger tip veil edged with lace. Her flowers were American Beauty roses and white pompoms.
The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Miss Luella Hardrath. She wore an orchid satin gown with a net yoke and trimmed with tiny scallops. Her flowers were flesh-colored roses and yellow pompoms tied with a gold ribbon.
The bridesmaid was the bride’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Carl Hardrath of Abbotsford, Wis. She wore a gold satin gown with a net yoke and trimmed with tiny scallops. Her flowers consisted of pink roses with orchid pompoms and were tied with an orchid ribbon.
The best man was Galen Hardrath, brother of the bride. The groomsman was Carl Hardrath of Abbotsford, brother of the bride.
The ushers were John Block of Colby, nephew of the groom, and Ray Seefeldt of Marshfield, cousin of the bride.
Duets were sung by Mrs. T. J. Pagels and Miss Betty Rex. They sang "O Perfect Love", and "Jesus Be Our Guide."
The organist was Mrs. Henry Kuesel of Riplinger, aunt of the bride.
The 3-tier wedding cake was baked by Mrs. Bernhard Seefeldt of Marshfield, aunt of the bride. Supper was served to 92 guests at the home of the bride’s parents.
Out-of-town guests were Mr. Arnold Woempner from Cower’d Alene, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hardrath from Bay City, Minn. Others came from Marshfield, Spencer, Riplinger, Unity, Colby, Abbotsford, Dorchester, Medford, Whittlesey, and Loyal.
